E-commerce Sales Analysis: Creating an Excel Dashboard

This project involves a detailed analysis of e-commerce sales data using an Excel dashboard. The dashboard provides various visualizations and metrics to understand sales trends, customer demographics, product performance, and payment methods. The goal is to provide valuable insights into the e-commerce business, helping to optimize sales strategies and improve customer experience.

The process of creating an E-commerce Dashboard using Excel involves several key steps. First, data is collected by importing the e-commerce sales dataset into Excel. This includes reviewing and understanding the structure of the data. Next, the data is cleaned by removing duplicates, handling missing values, and standardizing formats. Following this, data exploration is conducted by calculating summary statistics and identifying trends through pivot tables. The dashboard is then created by designing an interactive layout with sections for key metrics, visualizations such as bar charts, line charts, and pie charts, and incorporating slicers and filters for user interactivity. Finally, the data is analyzed to gain insights into gender distribution of orders, density of demand across cities, sales by age group, orders by payment method, sales distribution by product category, and overall sales, discounts, and profits. This comprehensive approach ensures a visually appealing and informative dashboard that provides valuable insights into the e-commerce business.
